Ray and fancy dress

My first concert in London was Ray LaMontagne (who is currently top of the pop's round at our place) and it was the best of times and the blurst of times.
As we sat down in our seats we couldn't help but notice the two drunken football fans sitting behind us. Obviously they had gotten lost on the way to the big game and somehow ended up at Ray LaMontagne. Unfortunately they had ended up behind us... and they were loud. Oh well, surely they would shut up when the concert started. Surely?... surely not.
Now if you don't know Ray LaMontagne then you might think "so what?" the thing is though, Ray's brand of bitter-sweet, soft, acoutic songs really doesn't mix so well with "oooh ee's fookin' good in'it?" ringing in your ear through every song.
We sat through it for 5 songs... our 5 favourite songs... then I grabbed Catherine and we moved to greener (quieter) pastures with a better view and luckily the rest of the concert was great. He is an amazing singer and his voice sounded fantastic... honestly though who plays their 5 best songs first? :D

We also went to a fancy dress party on the weekend dressed up as gangsters! It was my ex-flatmates birthday and we all had a great time.
